Today i attended a regular / 3 yearly conference that hold by The Institue of Architect, Indonesia (district: Banten Province). As we know there are more than one of Architect Association in Indonesia, but The Institute of Architect, Indonesia is the only indonesian architect association that has the affiliation with ARCASIA and UIA (Union Internationale Des Architects). There are so many international level architect in this organisation, let mention it: Budi A. Sukada, (presently head of IAI / national level), M. Ridwan Kamil, etc. and I’m very proud of it!

The conference start at 8 am and begin with registration for new member (including me) and re-registratition for old member. The main purpose of this conference is succession of the leader, i mean the old leader give his posistion and all member start the election for the new leader of the organisation for periode 2007-2010. The final result Mr. Zakie Muttaqien win the election outrank the others two candidate, congrotulation!
I met a lot senior and young architect at the conference, and i learned very very basic architect principle that remind me again that architecture is very human oriented knowledge.

At the conference, all the new members read with loud the “ARCHITECT PROMISE” that mention us to have good attitude and hold the IAS’s principle, architect etiquette, and architect profession etiquette.

The conference was over at 4 pm, and from now on i’m part of the organisation and hold the registration number: 9812 072 3000. and the most important thing: let’s start to produce great masterpeace…!
